Originally I came to Guelph for OVC however I changed my program two years in. I decided to stay here because I love Guelph and couldn't imagine getting a degree elsewhere. I had the option of going somewhere else to get a degree, however, Guelph is where I consider home.

Course Curriculum

8

I think the curriculum is great. There are mandatory classes and a lot of room for electives (that can be filled with more psychology classes if you wanted). I love having the option to choose my classes and having minimal required courses.

Events

9

One of the biggest events at Guelph is the college royal. They open up the school to the public as an open house and put on a lot of fun activities throughout campus. Sports games are also a big thing for the university. Football and hockey games in particular.

Fees

There are many charges through the university. Health, dental, bus pass, student association, first response team, gym access, etc. These are things I don't mind paying for.

Scholarship

I've utilized OSAP for 5 years. It?s a simple process that is done every year before the upcoming semester.

Examination Structure

Some exams are essay-based, some are multiple-choice. It depends on the professor and they're choice. I enjoy both types of exams, as with multiple-choice I always have an option to give, and with essays, I can get part marks for my thoughts and ideas.

Faculty

8

The faculty of the college is great. Always willing to help, and for the most part, they want you to succeed. They have many office hours and are willing to meet over coffee during off-school hours.

Hostel

10

I loved my residence experience. I met my best friends and it was the best experience. Forever meeting new people to do new things with. The residence food was also great having many options to choose from.
