Centennial college is ranked number 1 in Ontario and offers a wide array of programs. They also offer co-op as an option for their diploma and advanced diploma programs. Popular among Indians too and proves to be a cost-effective option to enter the Canadian Job market and is based in Ontario near Toronto so students can easily move to downtown which is packed with all sorts of jobs.

Course Curriculum

8

The curriculum is meant to open doors in the field of Finance and prepares potential graduates for various areas such as investment advising and can lead to CFP ( Certified Financial Planner ) which earns big bucks in the country. Beginning with a focus on functional fields in Business ( Information Systems, HR, Accounting, Finance )

Exams

Centennial doesn't want GRE or other additional tests. They only need an IELTS which is usually valid for 2 years Minimum Score- 6.5; My score-7.5 overall

Placement

9

Finance offers the most opportunities out of every field in business. Finance grads tend to make the big bucks because of the demand for the skill and the reputation of the college. Though diploma holders may begin with less significant profiles, they tend to climb the corporate ladder fairly quickly. I had one of my seniors work for Royal Bank of Canada straight out of school.

Events

Centennial College has a sprawling campus in Scarborough which comes with volleyball courts, and basketball courts as well as an on-campus library and WiFi accessibility everywhere on campus. In terms of events, Multicultural events showcasing dancing, acts, and sports meets are also conducted on campus.

Faculty

9

I would say that if you show the professors that you are serious about being good in this field, they will go beyond their call of duty to help. I had problems grasping the introductory finance course but my professor gave me extra time to make sure I can understand everything. Faculty to student ratio - 1:20 ( I guess ) overall no crowding in classes

Hostel

Accommodation in GTA ( Greater Toronto Area) is usually very expensive. I live in a single basement bedroom that is 750 CAD a month with utilities which is very very expensive. That includes a common toilet and kitchen.
