VFS is one of the best school for digital arts in the world. If you work in any creative industry, odds are there's a VFS student working with you. In addition to that, VFS specialises in my field, Game Design. One of my seniors, a very good friend of mine is also a VFS alumnus and his experience was essential in me choosing to attend at VFS.
Course Curriculum
My course curriculum is probably the most free-flowing and updated I have ever experienced. Instructors are working professionals in the industry and as such, the curriculum is based very much in practical standards. Nothing outdated is taught, to a degree that if an instructor discovers new content in the middle of a class, they adjust their curriculum on the fly. Technicalities such as software and terminology pose absolutely no creative limitations on the students and they are free to exercise the full breadth of their creative expression.
Exams
My scores: IELTS 8.0 Minimum score: IELTS 6.5 The admission requirements for my institution are pretty dependent on skills and creative aptitude, being a school for the Arts.
Placement
My school is mostly a trade school, which is meant primarily for skill and portfolio development, after which you are ready to work in a professional capacity. However, they also offer transfer credits in case students want to pursue studies in university.
Events
VFS has excellent extracurriculars. Apart from having amazing facilities, they host a weekly movie screening at the 3D animation campus, which has a movie theater on campus. The VFS Cafe also hosts weekly events such as game nights, performances and auditions.

Faculty
Our instructors, as previously mentioned, are all professionals working in their respective industries, most of them having years and sometimes decades of experience under their belts. Even our faculty and staff are creative professionals who understand the creative process and thereby understand the needs of the students better than anyone else.
Hostel
VFS doesn't offer on campus housing as the campus is in downtown Vancouver. They do, however, offer Housing Services which can help students over the age of 19, find convenient and affordable housing with trusted landlords. As I wasn't 19 when I arrived in Vancouver, I wasn't able to find great housing and ended up renting a room.
