- McMaster University offers a Master of Engineering in Entrepreneurship and Innovation for a duration of 20 months.
- It is an on-campus program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
- The full program is expected to take 20 months full-time study and students take 32 months for completion of part-time program. students are admitted for September only.
- Students have to complete 6 compulsory enterprise modules which focus on providing the Master's degree students basic skills to select an idea with good potential, manage the innovation process, then create and manage the business outcome.
- Students holding engineering, technology, or science degree who meets eligibility criteria can enroll in the Master’s of Engineering Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MEEI) degree program.
- Each module is considered the equivalent of a half-course as defined by the School of Graduate Studies.
- It will contain elements of lecture, group work, presentation and other activities as defined in the course outline.
- The module courses will be delivered in an intensive format.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have honours Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline (i.e. science, technology, math) from a recognized university.
- Students hold at least a B- average (equivalent to a McMaster 7.0 GPA out of 12) in the final year in all courses..
Work Experience Eligibility:
Students who did not attain the required standing in their undergraduate degree, but have at least 4 years of relevant work experience can get admission in this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a 3-year UG degree must have a substantial background in engineering or a related field.
Submission of GRE scores is not compulsory for this program, however, if students have given the GRE exam then it is recommended to submit the scores (minimum 300) for a better chance of admission.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
