Advanced Diploma in Theatre Arts – Performance at George Brown College is offered as a 3 years (6 semesters) program.
It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
This program offers students career-oriented training in the fundamental skills, practicalities, traditions, and professionalism needed to work as a professional actor in theatre, television, and film.
The program provides hands-on training which is an integrated curriculum in which almost all subjects are related directly to the acting profession.
Students have to study five skill courses form the core of the classical approach to training the actor: voice, speech, movement, music, and dance.
In the final year, students will be paired with a successful theatre practitioner. This partnership starts in the student’s final semester and continues for roughly a year-long period.

Students complete all work in compliance with industry standards, policies, and professional ethics.
University offers more classes than any other public-sector theatre school, with small class sizes for more focused learning.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students have completed an Ontario Secondary School diploma or equivalent degree.
Students must complete Grade 12 English (C or U) with 60% or higher.
Students also have to complete a Grade 11 Math (M or U) or Grade 12 (C or U) with 60% or higher.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria

Students must be graduated from senior secondary school.
Students have a minimum overall of 60% in 10th and 12th Grade for all streams.
Students also have a minimum overall of 50% in English and Maths in 10th and 12th Grade.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
