Advanced Diploma in Computer Systems Technology at George Brown College is offered as a 3 years (6 semesters) program.
It is an online program offered on a full-time basis.
This program is designed with extensive input from the industry and offers 2 optional specializations in its 3^rd year.
- The Networking specialization focuses on network security, voice-over-IP (VoIP), and wireless LANs.
- The Systems specialization focuses on mail server administration, content management systems (Collaboration), database administration, and computer security.
Both specializations include core courses on infrastructure virtualization (through the VMWare IT Academy) and cloud computing, along with best practices in Information Technology.
In the 3^rd year of the program, students will be involved, hands-on, in real-life projects or case studies
This program covers all four courses of the official Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching curriculum.
The curriculum also prepares students to write several other examinations leading to industry certifications, such as the Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) and Cisco’s CCNA Security.
Students who successfully complete this program may qualify for entry into Ontario college graduate certificate and university degree programs.
George Brown currently has articulation agreements with various other post-secondary institutions such as the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, McMaster University, and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
This program prepares graduates for jobs in a wide variety of positions, including:

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students have completed an Ontario Secondary School diploma or equivalent degree.
Students must complete Grade 12 English (C or U) with 60% or higher.
Students also have to complete a Grade 11 Math (M or U) or Grade 12 (C or U) with 60% or higher.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria

Students must be graduated from senior secondary school.
Students have a minimum overall of 60% in 10th and 12th Grade for all streams.
Students also have a minimum overall of 50% in English and Maths in 10th and 12th Grade.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/PTE/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
