A$31,200/Yr
The Doctor of Philosophy allows students to conduct a detailed research investigation in an area of interest and present findings in a thesis. Students will design and implement a high-quality original research project of significance to students' discipline. Through this process, students will develop a thorough knowledge of scholarly debate in the field and the capacity to critically analyze and constructively contribute to that debate.
Through the completion of a PhD, students gain deeper understanding of a subject area and develop analytical, problem solving, communication and project management skills. These skills are highly valued by prospective employers. PhD graduates may pursue careers in industry, academia and research organisations.A PhD is the highest academic degree one can achieve. It is not like other programs because it is a pure research degree. You can expect to do a literature review, perform original research and collect results, and produce and defend a thesis of your own.
As you earn your PhD, you will develop skills and knowledge that allow you to consult, teach, or lead in a confident and successful way. You should leave the program fully able to take on a leadership role as a working business professional. The management and leadership skills learned in these few years will help you become a leader in your personal life as well.
