The best nursing program in Australia. The way the course works, in comparison to other Universities, means you get more clinical exposure and experience earlier in the degree therefor when you get to the third year you should have more confidence in the clinical setting rather than just knowing the theoretical content.

Course Curriculum

10

I think the very broad spectrum of subjects that are taught in my nursing course thus far has been an exception as they offer a complete and holistic approach to raising a new generation of person-centered nurses.

Exams

In Australia you have to sit the HSC which is kinda like SAT exams I think, it's just a collection of exams for your subject and then from the score (up to 99.95) that?s your ATAR which is the entry mark for university.

Placement

10

The clinical placements are introduced from first-semester first year and it's an incredible experience and provides exposure to different areas in the nursing career. there are two weeks in duration every semester.

Internship

Yes, however not for my degree. Internships are for all the business students and science (I think) students. As nurses, we don't have internships but we have clinical placement which is two weeks on a ward or practices every semester.

Events

7

I've only been here for half a semester so I don't know any uni traditions or things like that but I know we have various faith groups and from there they have their various events that are celebrated.

Fees

In Australia, we have HECS which means we can defer a large portion of our degree fees to pay off once we start earning a high enough income. there was an extra general charge of about $150 besides that.

Examination Structure

I only have one subject in the first year the first semester that requires an exam. My university focuses more on assessments and self-driven learning from these assessments rather than studying for an exam.

Faculty

10

The university in itself cultivated an environment of acceptance, multiculturalism, and freedom of speech. It's an incredible atmosphere to be in every single day.
