I choose to study at the University of the Sunshine Coast because they offer a relatively large variety of courses including majors and minor options. The course is only 3 years long so this gives me great convenience along with it being close to home.
Course Curriculum
First-year classes are ok, lecturers are a bit lackluster and hard to understand but further into the course become more interesting as you get to develop deeper into your chosen electives, majors and minors.
Fees
The fee structure is better than other universities as it is cheaper as well as the numerous ways to pay.
Examination Structure
It can be challenging at the time because they usually seat you with other courses in one large hall which personally makes me a bit anxious. But the exams themselves are usually on par with lectures and tutorials taught.
Faculty
I think the University of the Sunshine Coast gets a really bad wrap from young people who want to do more specific and generalized degrees as they don't offer specific courses mainly in science and engineering degrees. But I believe they definitely are stepping up to compete with major universities.
Hostel
So due to the University of the Sunshine Coast being so close to my existing home with my parents it?s great giving me that flexibility to still not have the stress of working constantly to pay for rent.
