Monash University is a very well know and respected university due to its advanced research facilities and affiliation with the industry. I applied to a total of 3 universities but Monash Uni was the one I wanted to join the most. I had an agent to help me with the application procedures and everything went on quite smoothly. I graduated with a 1st Class Honours in 2018.

Course Curriculum

9

The faculty to student ratio is about 1 to 20 and they hold great teaching methods with extra help offered by students working as tutors as well. All lecturers hold at least 1 Ph.D. and the Ph.D. students also work as tutors offering a great learning experience and it feels comfortable to ask questions freely since the staff members are very helpful and friendly.

Exams

I wanted to have a solid degree after Uni that's the reason why I choose this course because it is getting more in demand. My batch size was about 50 students. Credits required to complete the course are 192 and the eligibility requirement is 3 Bs in A-Levels Certification in Maths, Chemistry, and Physics/ IT courses and I scored 3 As.

Fees

The course was $21000 per semester with a full load structure of 4 units per semester. Each unit contributing to 6 credits points. I did not receive any scholarship however to obtain one, the requirements would be to achieve an ATAR of 98 for domestic students and are currently completing Year 12 or IB.

Faculty

No, internships are provided at the level of Bachelors's degree but on-campus jobs are available. The minimum stipend is around $19 per hour with a maximum of 20 hours a week. You should be a student to be eligible and enrolled in a full-time course.

Hostel

I lived off-campus in a shared house with other students. It was more affordable since the bills were evenly split. However, it was a bit far from the university. It is also easier to find cheaper food off-campus. The main challenges were getting to uni on time and we didn't have reliable wifi which is easily available on campus. The advantages of staying on campus would be easy access to most uni facilities, convenience stores available, banking facilities and safety on campus.
