This new strategy is aimed to drive more diversity among the overseas students enrolled in Australian Universities.

It is also aimed to broaden the area nurturing international education, as the business and commerce are the leading sectors. As a result, there's an imbalance in the skill sets required by the nation.

Thus, this correction can be modified by taking in more students for different sectors including Health and Welfare, Engineering, and other technical and scientific sectors.

The government's strategic announcement reflected upon the market contribution, and registering the main contributors, China (30% - 37%) and India (14% - 19%), the requirements to focus upon other global markets.

Since a specific statement was not announced for not cutting down the market share, the federal government aims to avoid being entirely dependent on the two markets and focuses on factoring in other global markets.

As a result, the main objective of the proposed 10-year long-term strategy charted the diversity and the eventual positive impact on raising the skill set of Australia and building a more sustainable economy in the long run.

The models of the USA and the UK will be used as inspiration to achieve the goals of the strategy.
